Really good points! This is how I Dj a wedding or event. There is a lot of DJ’s here in my area that will not take request, sad. But I do agree with you. If its a song that no one will dance to, tell them I will look for it, If I have it. That is the best line in the world. Keep it up! Good Job!

    Perfect advice - …
Perfect advice - spot on. Newbies, pay attention to how to respond to the crap or questionable requests. don’t say no - say ‘I’ll look for it’. I’d also add, don’t dismiss some of the bizarre requests. Often, I’ve found that the hosts circle of friends have fond memories of some bizarre track that you would never have played in a millon years but sets the group on fire! Watch for that. You should get a feel for that from meeting with the couple but sometimes, you gotta take a risk.
