Here is a quick and simple tip to keep track of your wedding guests. Use 3×5 index cards to keep track of your guests (keep them in a recipe box for easy organizing). On each card, write the guest´s names, address, phone number, if they´ve RSVP´d, and how many guests would be attending. Later you can use the same cards to keep track of what gift they gave and whether or not you´ve written them a thank you note.

When out of town wedding guests are incurring the expense of long distance travel, make their arrival special. Prior to the date, send a newsletter packed with local information such as attractions, bars and restaurants near in the area. ign local relatives for airport pick ups and to the reception. Garner a “block booking” rate from a hotel close to your wedding venues.

When guests arrive it’s also a nice touch to create a gift bg or basket filled with snacks, and treats. This will make them feel more welcome and make their stay a little easier.

Welcome brides, grooms, and future wedding guests I’m Harmonie Krieger your host for nuptialstv.com your video guide to planning your wedding and beyond. On this edition of Nuptialstv we will be covering tips on planning the big day.

Planning a wedding is like setting up dominoes, each decision helps you make another one. The first domino is the question, the second domino is the type of ceremony and the third domino is choosing the venue and it continues on from there.

So the question has been popped, now unto the type and location of the ceremony. Most people know the type of wedding they would like to have, but when you add another person’s dreams, aspirations and religious feelings it will require some compromise. The couple is the most important part of planning a wedding and whether it’s the parents of the bride or the groom or a wedding planner, the wishes of the couple have to be taken into account. This is especially true of the type of ceremony that the couple decides on.

Determining whether the wedding will be a religious, civil or other type of ceremony will play a part in determining the venue. Your job or the job of your wedding planner will be to contact the venue and verify all information in regards to booking it for the day in question. At bare minimum you will need confirmation on the following items so prepare a checklist:

* Contact Person?

* Location of Utilities?

* In-house staff?

* Clean-up responsibility? Yours? Theirs?

* Parking?

* Entrance?

* Dressing Room?

* Fees?

* Rehearsal availability?

* Piano? Organ?

* Rules about Photography (specifically in Churches)

You will want to confirm a booking of the venue at least three to four months ahead of time. In many cases, it’s better to settle on the venue first because much of the rest of the planning will center on this location.
