My cousin did it last year at her wedding.
We are doing it at our wedding in May. We really liked the idea. And plus, he has a 6year old son that we wanted to be part of the ceremony… and him lighthing a candle just doesn't seem safe! lol
Our colors are hot pink and black.
Our mom's are doing white sand at the bottom of the vase. I am doing hot pink. His son is doing a lighter pink, and my fiance is doing black.

I attended a wedding where they did this. I'd never seen it before.
They used a deep purple, a bright/hot pink, and a pale coral, just a little, from the officiant. I don't know where they stored it or if they display it, since I haven't seen them since they moved in together.

My cousin actually did salt and her and her husband poured salt in a glass holder, something they either decided to do or the preacher had them do.
