I know that I should get plenty of sleep and drink lots of water, but are there any other suggestions and tips?

I don't really have any suggestions but just something that you would not think of. I got married in June, when the temp was 92. Amazingly, my makeup stayed on but the one thing that I wasn't prepared for…the receveing line. By the time my guests had walked through the line and kissed me on my cheek…my makeup was completly off the one side of my face.
Remember to keep your makeup close so you can touch up after the line.
Good luck.

EXCUSE THE RAWNESS OF THE VIDEOS. I wanted to post them ASAP (including my nose-picking LOL)
WATCH IN HIGH QUALITY!!!

Credit cards are the best bet in this period of time. Get several with say 9 months intrest free, then pay of the money to the credit card companies over the 9 months. Try to get as much of as possible by the end of the free period and then transfer whats left to one card (a new one with a new 9 months 0% on it). Other than that down size your wedding. Choose out of fashion months for the reception, and get family to make the cake ect. However as I am also Irish I understand the pressure to have a huge wedding with all your family. So hope the credit cards work out. You could also try a small loan from a bank or credit union, but if used wisely the credit cards are effectivly an intrest free loan.

I'm getting married next February on the 16th, so it's most likely going to be Valentines theme…I already have ideas of how I want to decorate things….but I need tips of how to keep the cost down…which stores have the cheapest things etc etc
Any suggestions?

Or is there anyone in the Portland OR area who would be willing to be my wedding planner?
By NEXT february, I mean 2008

I have planned several wedding to help friends and the best way to keep the cost down is to check every store for after valentines specials. You can also continue looking throughout the year for the different items you need. One of the last thigns you want to buy is your wedding dress check out davidsbridal.com for that. They have sales a lot normally around this time of year. Also, start calling places now to reserve the place for your wedding/reception as you may get a better deal, talk to people there and try to see when you could book it to get a discount. A lot of places will work with you if you talk to them. A lot of people spend way too much time planning weddings just because they are so excited about it. Just remember to relax and when you are out checking for sales on things have your list of what you need and make sure your not overdoing it just because it is on sale or you will end up with way too much of some types of things and nothing of other types. good luck, have fun and congrats..
