My fiance and I are trying to plan a low budget wedding and need help. We're having everything outside in a friends backyard. How else can we save money? I think we'll have friends/family help with food and flowers. Who will marry us the cheapest, justice of the peace?? Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks

Ok so another wedding question. If you read my other question i mentioned my sister getting married well she decided on the colors black, gray (silver), and white. It's a winter wedding in Paris, France. To my question what kind of flowers would look best with the whole black and white "theme"??? Can you die flowers like gray or somthing withought it looking weird??? Or would it look good with the tips of the flowers dyed with 1 of those certain colors? Thx Bunches!!! If you can could you send a link on the web of ideas of flowers for that type of wedding?

Red roses would be so dramatic. Or fire-and-ice roses. It would be like a romantic old black-and-white movie with a splash of red. Besides that, roses are easy to get any time of the year.

I'm a bridesmaid in a wedding in June and to save money the bride has decided that we're going to make our own bouquets with flowers she's having shipped in. Recently she tried working with the flowers to get a feel for it and started to get worried. She has so many other things to worry about right now and I really want to help, but I've only found one article online and the rest is just advertisements. Any suggestions, tips, resources?

Sorry, but calla lilies are a water intense flower. They need special oasis and special care just after being cut. Unless you are a florist, calla lilies are not the flower to 'play with'. She's just going to have to pay the florist to arrange them or pick a different flower. If her world falls apart at this, ask her which will last longer, this wedding or her marriage? That is to say, which is more important to be perfect?

By the time you get through paying for the flowers, photographs, rings and parties, the average wedding will cost $16,000. Wedding Planner Carol Marino ways non-fundable deposits can be expensive and if a disaster occurs and the wedding is cancelled that money is lost. The Insurance Information Institute says Wedding Insurance will replace those deposits and offer the bride some peace of mind. Amy Gergely of the Independent Insurance Agents of America has insurance tips for the bride and groom.

I am planning on making my wedding bouquet made up of 24 dark red roses since its cheaper. I do have a problem. My wedding date is January 2nd, and I’m going to end up buying the flowers either the 30th or the 31st of December or even earlier. What are the tips to storing my flowers so they look great for my wedding day?

Keep them in a few wet paper towels wrapped around the stems in the refrigerator. Do not touch the petals with your hands as it will make them turn brown. If they do just gently pull the brown edged ones off.
They should keep for 3 to 4 days fine.

Congratulations !

I am trying to find a bouquet of those roses that are yellowish/orangish at the base of the petals and fade up into pink tips. I have to have these flowers!!! Does anyone know wht kind of roses those are???

they are very simply called pink tipped yellow roses, often called Peace RosesThat's a great selection for a wedding boquet!
